The Garmin Monterra Is A Handheld GPS Powered By Android

Garmin has announced a new Android handheld GPS gadget called the Monterra.  The Monterra has a 4-inch touchscreen, an 8-megapixel camera with flash and geotagging support, 1080p video capturing capabilities, 6GB of internal storage, and microSD support.  The Monterra also has WiFi, ANT+, Bluetooth 3.0, near-field communications (NFC), an FM radio with NOAA weather, SAME alerts, a UV sensor, and a 3-axis compass with accelerometer and gyroscope.  It can run on a rechargeable battery pack or AA batteries.  The Monterra will be shipping in Q3 and will retail for $650.
