The Globatrac Trakdot Is A Device That You Put In Your Luggage To Track It

Posted Jan 16, 2013

GlobaTrac is a company that has launched a new product called the Trakdot luggage tracker.  The Trakdot luggage tracker is a small black and orange plastic device that has a GSM radio built into it.  The tracker runs on two AA batteries.  Once you place the Trakdot into your luggage, the device can send alerts to your smartphone whenever it arrives to an airport gate around the world.

When you have an important business meeting in New York City and your suit lands in Boston instead, it can be very frustrating.  That is almost as frustrating as standing in line at the airline’s service center to see where your bag actually is.  This tracker at least helps you find out right away where your bag is so that you can focus on how to get your bag back rather than where your bag is.

GlobaTrac has its own wireless spectrum to power the system.  The Trakdot is arriving in March and will cost only $49.99.  There is a one time activation fee of $8.99 and the annual fee costs $12.99.
