Microsoft Corporation recently announced that the Surface Pro will be available starting on February 9th. The tablet will be powered by Windows 8 and will be available for purchase next month from retailers in the U.S. and Canada. It will be available in additional markets over the next few weeks and months.
The Surface Pro will run a full version of Windows 8 so that it can support existing desktop applications and new Windows 8 style applications. The Surface Pro will have a 10.6-inch screen with support for Touch and Type Covers. The Surface Pro will have pen support, an Intel Core i5 processor, and a Full HD display to differentiate itself from the original Surface. Microsoft will also start selling the Surface RT in 13 new European countries in the next few weeks.
The Surface Pro will start at $899 with a 64GB hard drive, but without a cover.
