Earlier this evening Samsung Electronics hosted an event in Radio City Music Hall in New York City to announced the Samsung Galaxy S 4 smartphone. The Galaxy S 4 specs include a full HD Super AMOLED display (1920 x 1080 resolution) and quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor in the U.S. Abroad, the phone will have an 8-core 1.8GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor.
The S 4 will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and will have multiple storage options at 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The camera is 13 megapixels and it has a dual camera function and dual video call function. The phone weighs 130g and is 7.9mm thick. Below are some additional product details:
The Galaxy S4 has a smart scrolling feature that lets you tilt up or down to scroll.
Samsung placed a health tracker into the S4 to track your steps, stairs climbed, and ambient temperature. The phone can also track food intake, calories consumed, etc.
When you are not looking at a video, it can be automatically paused.
The Air View feature on the phone lets you preview information by hovering the S Pen stylus over the screen.
The Galaxy S 4 has a built in translation service called S Translator that works as a standalone app that can be integrated into e-mail, messaging, and Samsung ChatON.
The Galaxy S 4 will be carried by 327 mobile operators in 155 countries. Many of the features on the device can be controlled without even touching it.
