The Samsung S-Pen Series 5 and 7 Slate PCs Have Detachable Keyboards

At the IFA 2012 press conference, Samsung has announced a new line of products.  Devices that stand out includes this half-tablet and half-notebook.  This is one of the devices in the Series 5 and Series 7 slate PCs .  This half-tablet and half-notebook also works with the S-Pen stylus.

The S-Pen stylus was first announced when the Samsung Galaxy Note was launched.  The Series 5 and Series 7 slate PCs were introduced.  Using the S-Pen, you can put together handwritten notes or draw sketches.

There will be two different 11.6″ models.  The Series 7 has an 1920 x 1080 multitouch display and the Series 5 has a 1366 x 768 display.

These devices will have the Windows 8 operating system built in.  The Series 7 model has an Intel Core i5-3317U processor (dual core 1.7GHz), 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD drive, and will retail for $1,199.

The Series 5 will have an Intel Atom Z2760 processor (dual-core), 2GB RAM, 64GB SSD drive, and is available for $749 (or $649 without the detachable keyboard).  Both products will work with Bluetooth 4.0 and will be released on October 26.
