This Angelfire Was One Of Mark Zuckerberg’s First Websites

In 1999 at the age of 15, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg designed one of his first websites using as discovered by Hacker News users.  The website is awkward, but is something you can expect from a 15-year-old.  Zuckerberg referred to himself as “Slim Shady” and “Vader Fader.”

Before questioning whether this was really Zuckerberg or not, here are some pieces of evidence.

1. The contact e-mail on the Angelfire page was  This AOL account was under the primary account of “ekzooks.”  The “ekzooks” username is a typical username associated with Dr. Edward Zuckerberg, the father of Mark.

2. When you view the source of the Angelfire website, you will notice that the Content Author in the Meta tags is actually Mark Zuckerberg:

The best part about seeing Zuckerberg’s random Angelfire website is that I can relate to this.  When I was 15, I designed a South Park fan website on Geocities with tons of animated GIFs.  Maybe this will turn up one day too.
