Tim Cook Auctions Meeting Over Coffee With Him, Bids Surpass $90K

There is an auction on Charitybuzz for a coffee meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook.  The listing was donated by Tim Cook and the meeting will take place at Apple’s headquarters.  Proceeds of the auction will go towards the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights.  The estimated value was about $50,000.  As of the time that I am writing this, there are 35 bids on the auction and bidding has hit $90,000.

The meeting is going to take place at Apple’s headquarters and it covers two people following a security screening.  Tim Cook has never auctioned off a meeting for charity before so this is a big deal.  The coffee can be anywhere between 30 minutes and one hour long.

Another major executive that auctions off meetings on the Internet is Warren Buffett.  Lunch with Warren Buffett sold for $2.6 million on eBay in June 2010.
