Tim Cook says new book about Apple is ‘nonsense’

Yukari Kane is a former technology reporter at The Wall Street Journal and is the author behind a new book called “Haunted Empire: Apple After Steve Jobs.” Kane’s book is about the final years that Steve Jobs worked at Apple and the direction of the company under CEO Tim Cook. Apple CEO Tim Cook does not like the book and he called it “nonsense.” Cook said that the book fails to capture Apple and Steve Jobs. Here is what Cook said about the book:

“This nonsense belongs with some of the other books I’ve read about Apple. It fails to capture Apple, Steve, or anyone else in the company. Apple has over 85,000 employees that come to work each day to do their best work, to create the world’s best products, to put their mark in the universe and leave it better than they found it. This has been the heart of Apple from day one and will remain at the heart for decades to come. I am very confident about our future. We’ve always had many doubters in our history. They only make us stronger.”

The book is based on 200 interviews, including current and former executives and business partners at Apple.
