Police Arrest Twitter User Harassing Olympic Diver Tom Daley

The British police have located and arrested a teenager that was harassing British Olympic diver Tom Daley with a message about his late father.  The 17-year old teenager that was harassing Daley was arrested in Weymouth on suspicion of malicious communications according to the BBC.  The police did not confirm whether the arrest was made specifically towards the tweets that he sent to Daley.

Daley, 18, has over 580,000 Twitter followers and finished fourth place in the 10-meter synchronized diving competition yesterday.  Many people were upset with his performance, but the 17-year-old verbally abused Daley on Twitter.  Twitter user @Rileyy_69 sent Daley a message saying ?you let your dad down i hope you know that.?  Daley’s father had passed away due to a brain tumor in May 2011.  ?I?m going to find you and I?m going to drown you in the pool??
