Tripadvisor Inc (NASDAQ:TRIP) has announced today that they have acquired hotel review website Oyster.com. Oyster.com has expert reviews and photos spanning across 150 cities. Oyster.com will operate out of New York City and will be integrated into Smarter Travel Media. The terms of the deal was undisclosed.
“We’re pleased to add the Oyster team to the TripAdvisor family,” stated Steve Kaufer, co-founder and CEO TripAdvisor. “Oyster has created some wonderful photo and editorial content of hotels in popular destinations and it will be a strong addition to the TripAdvisor brand.”
