Twitter has added new search filters to the TweetDeck web and Chrome apps. The new search filter lets users choose which words and phrases that they want to show and exclude in columns. For example, TweetDeck will be able to filter data based on particular elements like tweets containing only images and/or videos. Users can choose from a drop-down menu at the top of a column to show all tweets or to limit the column to displaying tweets with embedded images, video tweets, tweets with links, etc. TweetDeck also lets users set matching criteria so that only tweets containing a specified word or phrase shows up. Users can exclude tweets with words or phrases and decide whether they want to see retweets. This feature addition was intended to bring the TweetDeck web and Chrome apps up-to-par with the Adobe AIR TweetDeck app.
