Posted Nov 18, 2010

Twitter has added several new features to their user interface. Local trending topics have been a popular feature on Twitter so more cities have been added.

The new cities and countries that Twitter added include: Argentina, Australia, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, Venezuela. Cities: Detroit, Miami, Minneapolis, Rio De Janeiro, Sydney, and Toronto.

A lot of tweets sent out on Twitter are on different languages. In order to make it easy to understand what people are saying, Twitter integrated Google Translate into each tweet. As of right now this feature is only available for a small percentage of users.
