Twitter is splitting the roles of departed COO Ali Rowghani between 2 executives, according to Re/Code. Adam Bain is in charge of revenue and partnerships and Gabriel Stricker oversees marketing and media.
Apparently Rowghani left Twitter due to disagreements with Twitter CEO Dick Costolo over whether he should continue to head up product innovation.
Unfortunately, Twitter had a second consecutive quarter of slow user growth. There are also concerns that Twitter’s 255 million monthly users are checking the service less frequently than a year ago.
Twitter shares have lost around 42% of their value since the beginning of the year.
At the beginning of the year, Twitter has been trading at between $63-$67 and now it is trading between $38-$39.
