Twitter has poached an ad executive from Google to head up their retail division as part of a plan to ramp up their sales talent before going public. Twitter’s new hire, J.J. Hirschle, is known for directing the media and entertainment ad division at Google. He will be responsible for selling Twitter’s ad products to retail companies going forward. Hirschle will be starting at Twitter on October 28th, which is the same day that Twitter will be starting their investor roadshow. Twitter is expected to go public in the middle of November.
