Twitter’s Hidden Photo Search Display Feature

Posted Aug 5, 2011

Twitter’s most recent redesign (circa September 2010) included an addition of keyboard shortcuts that create single-key commands for actions like creating new tweets with (n), retweeting (t) and more. Users just have to type each key without a text input box selected and the action occurs. But as TechCrunch reports, there are a few shortcuts that reveal hidden Twitter features like the “search photos” (sp) and “search videos” (sv) panes.

Typing “sp” while on Twitter brings up a sleek “search photos” box. The features aren’t secret, but Twitter certainly isn’t advertising them and there aren’t any clickable links available for the searches yet. The photo and video searches are currently only available through the “sp” and “sv” shortcuts.
