Unity Technologies, known for building the Unity multiplatform engine, is acquiring mobile game service company Applifier. Applifier’s Everyplay game replay sharing technology will be integrated into the Unity development platform.
The Everyplay GameAds video network will enable cross-promotion that is in development for the Unity Cloud. Everyplay allows players to express themselves with game replay sharing. It provides developers with a way to get new players and increase retention.
The service allows players to record, share, and discuss gameplay sessions. Everyplay has over six million registered mobile players and is growing by over one million users each month. There are millions of shared replays from hundreds of integrated games on iOS and Android.
Everyplay will continue to offer SDKs outside of Unity products. The GameAds video ad network will be integrated into Unity. GameAds is used by game publishers to find new users and monetize users.
