Kindlepost.com has some news about the new generation of the Kindle and the Kindle 3G. Some of the new features include:

1. Public Notes – This feature lets Kindle users make their book notes available for other people to view. Authors, fans, book reviewers, etc. can opt in to see the public notes.
2. Real Page Numbers – Customers have expressed that they want the page numbers in the e-book to be the same as the page numbers in the print editions. Amazon.com has been adding the real page numbers to tens of thousands of books already.
3. “Before You Go?” – When you reach the end of the book, Amazon will ask you immediately to rate the book.
4. Newspaper/Magazine Layout – The new layout of the books will be in a newspaper or magazine format.
