Verizon Wireless has announced that the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD will be upgraded to the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Android 4.1 will be rolled out to users starting next week. The update will be delivered in phases so not everyone will get the update at the same time. Verizon also improved voice and data connectivity on the phones.
It will also offer better native calendar settings and updated versions of Verizon’s preloaded apps. The Color and Verizon Video applications will be removed. RAZR HD and Maxx HD owners should be getting a notification on their handsets when the update is ready to be downloaded and installed.
