Vevo founding partner Fred Santarpia has been hired by Conde Nast Entertainment Group (CNEG) as an executive vice president and the chief digital officer. Santarpia will be the head of CNEG’s digital business and video distribution.
“Fred was a key executive and played an instrumental role in building Vevo, one of the most successful and groundbreaking digital businesses,” stated Dawn Ostroff, President of Conde Nast Entertainment. “His knowledge and expertise will be extraordinary assets as we build and extend our iconic brands onto various digital platforms.”
Santaria has been in the music business for years. Before Vevo, Santarpia worked at Universal Music Group since 2002. Vevo is currently one of the largest music video websites on the Internet.
