Vicarious is an artificial intelligence status that has raised funding from Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk.

Now several other investors are getting in on the action, including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, Skype co-founder Janus Friis, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, Ashton Kutcher, CEO Aaron Levie, and several other investors. These investors are joining Vicarious’ Series B round. Vicarious did not disclose how much extra funding it received from the four new investors.

Vicarious is developing algorithms for computing platforms to mimic how the brain works. The company has achieved several milestones in terms of the increase of performance and speed. This past fall, Vicarious demonstrated a way that an algorithm can be used for solving CAPTCHA queries.

Vicarious currently has 10 employees, but it will be hiring a lot more talent now that it has raised over $56 million in funding.
