VLC Announces New Android App On Google Play

Posted Jul 2, 2012

On top of updating the desktop version of the video player, VLC has announced an all new beta Android app available on Google Play. VLC for Android has the ability to play a list of video and audio content with a basic controller, which can play/pause/skip content. The app is not exactly stable yet according to VLC staff. Check out the humorous description of the app below and click here to download it.

VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols.

This is a BETA version of the port to the Android? platform. It is intended for power users and hackers. This version is NOT stable and is slower than the final version.

It might kill your kitten, destroy your house and start the mayan apocalypse.

Use it at your own risk. Have Fun! 🙂
