Vodafone Group plc (LON:VOD) has announced that their 4G network rollout will start on August 29th. London will be the first city to get their hands on Vodafone’s 4G network. Around 12 more cities will be added by the end of the year, including Manchester, Bradford, Coventry, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leicester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Sheffield, and Leeds.
The price plans will start at £26 per month for SIM only and 2GB of data. Some of the phones that will be compatible with the 4G network includes the Nokia 925, Galaxy S4, and BlackBerry Z10.
Vodafone customers can sign-up for the service on August 12th, even though it will not be turned on until the end of the month. Existing Vodafone customers that have an LTE handset already can upgrade their plan for £5 per month.
Unlimited data will be available for free for the first three months. Vodafone users can also get a Spotify premium account for free for the first three months or get Premiership football content bundles.
