Walmart has acquired Yumprint, a publishing network of recipes used in food blogs. Walmart announced the acquisition on Wednesday. Yumprint is behind meal-planning products, including a publishing network that helps over 2,000 food blogs display recipes and it has a popular recipe clipper extension.
Yumprint co-founders Chris Crittenden and Wes Dyer will work on Walmart’s online delivery service called Walmart To Go.
“Chris and Wes’s ideas and ambitions for transforming the grocery shopping experience match the global opportunity Walmart enjoys in this space, and their accomplishments with Yumprint just scratch the surface of what we’re going to do next together,” stated Walmart.com’s vice president of global products Ben Galbraith.
