Washio brings in $2.25 million in seed funding from a large group of investors

Washio is an online service for setting up laundry and dry cleaning delivery. You simply select your pickup and drop off times and clean clothes are delivered based on your schedule. Clothes will be delivered that is ready to put away. Washio is currently available in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but they want to expand aggressively. Washio has raised $2.25 million in a seed round of funding led by Pejman Mar Ventures.

Other investors that participated in this round includes Sherpa Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Three Six Zero Group, Ashton Kutcher, Guy Oseary, Ron Burkle, Nas, Anthony Saleh, Larry Rudolph, Jay Brown, Zod Nazem, Troy Carter, Scooter Braun, Yael Cohen, Tom Ryan, and Frank Cooper.

Washio raised $550,000 in a seed round of funding, which brings them to a total of $2.8 million. Washio has a mobile app that lets users schedule the pick-up and delivery. The service has a 24-hour turnaround time. Washio does not handle the washing. The company works with third party laundry and dry cleaning services. Washio handles the payments through the app.
