Nelson Rolihlahla Mandelaus is a South African politician that has served as the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. In 1962, he was arrested on sabotage and other charges. He was sentenced to a life in prison, but ended up serving 27 years. Most of those years were spent on Robben Island.
