The stock price of Priceline.com has substantially increased since 10 years ago when the Internet company signed William Shatner to endorse their brand.
Shatner was initially paid in Priceline.com shares when he became the pitchman for the Internet company according to sources with The Toronto Sun. Priceline.com Incorporation (NASDAQ:PCLN) shares were trading at about $1.80 when the dot-com bust happened, but now the company is trading at over $258.
Based on the estimated number of shares that Shatner owns in the company, it is worth $600 million. Shatner, 79, is also known for his work as Captain Kirk on the sci-fi show Star Trek in the late 60’s.
Shatner is also very active on Twitter now too. He has sent out about 375 tweets and is currently talking about the Hollywood Charity Horse Show.
