Work4 Labs has raised $11 million in funding.  The company focuses on helping you find a job through Facebook through Facebook Pages.  The $11 million Series A funding was led by Matrix Partners.  They are joined by DST’s Yuri Milner, former president Steve Pogorzelski, and Hearsay Social co-founder and CEO Clara Shih.

Work4 Labs is creating recruitment tools for small businesses free such as “Work For Us.”  Work4 Labs also built an app that scans the profiles of a company’s Facebook friends and suggests who to refer for specific job openings.

Work4 Labs grew from 10 employees and 6,000 customers to 70 employees and 17,000 customers since April 2011.  Some of these include small businesses, but it also includes large corporations like UPS, SAP, GM, and Anheuser-Busch.

The Work4 Us careers app for Facebook Pages asks for data permissions and then scans a view’s Facebook profile for education and work history.  Work4 Labs clients notifies employees which of their friends are a good fit for available jobs and suggests they refer them.

Part of the $11 million in Series A funding will go towards investing in algorithms that matches Facebook profile data to related jobs.  Work4 Labs also expects to use the funding to expand into Asia and they will make senior hires in technology and marketing.  Matrix general partner Dana Stalder is joining the board of directors at the company.
