At CES, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced a new streaming TV package fans that want to watch wrestling videos on the go. The WWE Network will host older material and will also serve as a way to access current shows, pay-per-view, and original programming created for the network. The announcement was made by WWE executives Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Paul Levesque.
The WWE Network would work on a plethora of devices including web browsers, Android devices, Apple iOS, Roku, certain Sony PlayStation consoles, Microsoft Xbox consoles, and the Google Chromecast.
The shows that air on USA, Syfy, and Ion will play on the WWE Network as replays. All 12 of the WWE network’s pay-per-view shows will air live on the app including WrestleMania. The fee for the channel is $10 per month.
The WWE network is expected to launch in the U.S. on February 24th with support for up to 7 additional markets.
