Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) hires part of the team from QuikIO

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has acqui-hired part of the team at QuikIO. Yahoo! hired three people from the company, but the QuikIO product is not shutting down. QuikIO is known for being a “media center for iPhone and iPad.” Here is a note from the website:

Dear QuikIO users,

Thank you very much for being a QuikIO user. We want to let you know that we?ll be shutting down QuikIO service at the end of the year.
You?ll be able to use QuikIO service through December 31, 2013. After that, we will stop offering app download and support. Your QuikIO app will continue to operate only with the LAN discovery mode. You can find the instructions on the steps to set up LAN discovery mode from the link below:

QuickIO co-founder Michael Chen, QuickIO co-founder and VP of engineer Xumin Wu, and another person at the company joined Yahoo! Yahoo! has acquired 24 companies in 2013.
