Yahoo! has been looking for ways to compete with Google’s YouTube as part of an effort to increase market share in the video market.
According to Re/Code, Yahoo! has been working on ways to hire YouTube stars and networks away from the video website by offering more money.
Yahoo! has signing major video deals lately and that content is streamed through Yahoo! Screen. For example, Yahoo! signed a deal with Saturday Night Live in April 2013 to bring exclusive archived clips to Yahoo! Screen.
