Google Releases A YouTube iPhone App, Which Is Much Better Than The Original Default

Posted Sep 11, 2012

Ever since YouTube was a default application that was shipped with iPhones, people have not been happy with the lack of updates.  The app was not changed much between the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 4S.  Apple decided to pull the YouTube app from iOS 6 so Google has decided to create a standalone app to replace it.  That app is now live on the Apple App Store [iTunes].  The new YouTube app lets you swipe from left to right to reveal a screen with easy access to subscribe.  One of my favorite features is the homepage.  As soon as you open the app, you will see videos that went viral recently.  An iPad version of the app is coming soon.
