Google has updated the YouTube for Android app with an in-app multitasking feature that lets you minimize videos while you browse subscriptions and perform searches. The YouTube app uses Google’s signature “card” interface now too. The app will move videos to the bottom right corner of the screen and continue playing as you keep searching and then goes back to full-screen mode when you swipe right. YouTube also added the ability to easily search and browse channels for playlists so that you can watch collections of videos back-to-back. These features are expected to be added to the iOS version of the app soon, according to TechCrunch.
