Career website Zapoint.com has acquired Jobster.com from Recruiting.com. Jobster will retain its own identity but will now say “powered by Zapoint” under the new career management tools. Jobster started in Seattle and raised several rounds of funding. Around 2006, Jobster acquired the domain name Recruiting.com. Jobster then changed its name to Recruiting.com.
Recruiting.com sold the Jobster name and design to Zapoint.com. Recruiting.com will operate separately. Zapoint develops a technology called SkillsAssessment, which is used for valuing the skills of potential employees. Jobster has about 800,000 users and raised a total of $55 million since launching.
