Zendesk Raises $60 Million

Zendesk is an online customer service company that has raised $60 million in new financing led by Redpoint Ventures.  Index Ventures, GGV Capital, Goldman Sachs, Silicon Valley Bank, Charles River Ventures, Benchmark Capital, and Matrix Partners also participated in this round.  The round was $45 million in equity and $15 million in a credit facility.

Zendesk’s total funding is now at $86 million.  Zendesk has a web-based help desk and support ticketing application that gives companies a way to manage incoming support requests from end customers.

The company has around 20,000 customers and delivers customer support to 70 million consumers in 140 countries.  Some of their customers include Box, Tumblr, and Yammer.  The company now has a VoIP system, iPad app, Twitter integration, etc.  Zendesk eventually wants to go public.
