Mika Mobile is known for developing hit games for Android and the iPhone such as Zombieville USA and Battleheart. The company announced today that they will no longer be supporting game development for Android.
Mika Mobile said that developing games on Android was not financially viable for them anymore. Only 5% of Mika Mobile’s revenue comes from Android, yet they utilized 20% of their annual resources on dealing with Android compatibility issues and bug fixes.
Mika Mobile also said that they would have to completely re-engineer games because of the way that Google set up the new Google Play Store. What this probably means is that you would still be able to download the game, but do not expect much in terms of updates and support.
