The mass exodus at Zynga continues. In 2012, the company lost OMGPOP chief revenue officer Wilson Kriegel, former treasurer Mike Gupta, former CFO Dave Wehner, COO John Schappert, chief creative officer Mike Verdu, chief security officer Nils Puhlmann, chief technical officer of infrastructure Allan Leinwand, Words With Friends co-creators David and Paul Bettner, and Zynga Poker general manager Lo Toney. Now the company is losing another key executive named Brian Reynolds.
Reynolds was the chief game designer at the company. Reynolds joined Zynga in 2009. Before that, he was the creative director and CEO at Big Huge Games.
?Brian has a long history in the game industry and has been a great partner to the creative leaders at Zynga,? stated Zynga president of games Steve Chiang. ?I want to thank him for his leadership of the Zynga Baltimore studio in the design and development of FrontierVille, which brought many innovations to social gaming. We appreciate Brian?s contribution, and we?re proud of the deep bench of creative leaders who are leading the next wave of game innovation at Zynga. We wish Brian the best in his next chapter.?
Reynolds was the head of Zynga East in Baltimore. He oversaw the creation of games like FrontierVille and CityVille 2.
