This week, Apple released a major point update to iOS 14 called iOS 14.1. iOS 14.1 features improvements and bug fixes for the iPhone.

Apple iOS 14.1 Review

So what does Apple iOS 14.1 do? Here is an overview:

1.) iOS 14.1 adds support for 10-bit HDR video playback and edit in Photos for the iPhone 8 and later

2.) Apple iOS 14.1 addresses an issue where some widgets, folders, and icons were showing up in reduced size on the Home Screen

3.) The Apple iOS 14.1 update addresses an issue where dragging widgets on to the Home Screen could remove apps from folders

4.) Apple iOS 14.1 fixes an issue where some emails in the Mail app were sent from an incorrect alias

5.) The software update corrects an issue that prevents incoming calls from displaying region information

6.) Apple iOS 14.1 fixes a problem on some devices where selecting zoomed display mode and an alphanumeric passcode could cause the Lock Screen emergency call button to overlap with the text input box

7.) Apple iOS 14.1 fixes a problem where some users were occasionally unable to download or add songs to their library while viewing an album or playlist

8.) There is a fix for an issue that could prevent zeroes from appearing in Calculator

9.) Apple iOS 14.1 resolves an issue where streaming video resolution could temporarily be reduced at the start of playback

10.) iOS 14.1 fixes a problem that prevented setting up a family member’s Apple Watch for some users

11.) Apple iOS 14.1 resolves an issue where the Apple Watch case material was displayed incorrectly in the Apple Watch app

12.) The software update addresses an issue in the Files app that could cause some MDM-managed cloud service providers to incorrectly display content as unavailable

13.) And the software update improves compatibility with Ubiquiti wireless access points
