Pinterest Inc (NYSE: PINS) recently announced it has hired Celestine Maddy as the company’s head of consumer marketing, according to Adweek. Maddy previously worked as the SVP of marketing and communications at The Wing, a women-focused co-working space company. Maddy departed from The Wing in July after working there for 6 months.

Prior to working at The Wing, Maddy worked as the VP of marketing and communications at Foursquare, VP of marketing at Reddit, and director of marketing communications at Quirky.

At Pinterest, Maddy is going to oversee the company’s consumer brand strategy and campaigns along with product marketing, social media, and content innovation for the platform. Maddy is going to report directly to Pinterest CMO Andréa Mallard.

Maddy was working at The Wing when a major shift in management occured. The Wing’s founder and CEO and had stepped down on June 11 after reports of racism against employees of color were reported at several locations. A three-person Office of the CEO started leading the company after that and Maddy was part of that team along with The Wing co-founder and COO Lauren Kassan and SVP of operations Ashley Peterson.

Pinterest has been heavily focused on making adjustments to its culture to advance inclusion and diversity. Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann recently sent an email to employees with a list of steps the company is taking to improve awareness.
