Samsung Galaxy A51
Originally released in December 2019, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is a mid-range smartphone, which features a number of solid hardware specifications. These are the Samsung Galaxy A51 pros and cons you should know about.

(Note: This review is for the 4G version of the Galaxy A51 rather than the recently announced 5G version. A pros and cons review of the 5G version of the Galaxy A51 will be coming soon.)

Pro: Solid Display

The Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. At this size, playing games and watching videos feels like an immersive experience. And the colors are bright and it has deeper blacks than many other phones at this price range.

Pro: Solid Cameras

On the rear of the Galaxy A51 is four-camera setup. The four camera setup features a 48-megapixel wide camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel depth camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. And on the front is a solid 32-megapixel camera, which is built into a small punch hole on the front of the screen. With this camera set up, you will get some solid selfies on the front and extremely sharp photos taken from the rear.

Pro: 3.5mm Headphone Jack

The Galaxy A51 has a 3.5mm headphone jack. This comes in handy for those of you who have headphones with a 3.5mm connection.

Pro: Solid Storage Options

The Galaxy A51 is available in either 64GB or 128GB storage. And you can also expand the storage using a microSD card.

Pro: Great Battery Life

Inside of the Galaxy A51 is a 4000 mAh battery. This means that the device can last almost all day and all night with passive usage. And the A51 has a 15-watt fast charger included in the box so you can quickly recharge.

Con: Processor Speed Is Not Amazing

Inside of the Galaxy A51 is the Exynos 9611 octa-core chip and a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. And it comes with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. Based on benchmark tests against other smartphones in similar price ranges, this chipset tends to underperform.

Con: Lack Of Water Resistance

The Galaxy A51 does not support water resistance. This is a bummer for those of you who like to take their smartphones to the pool or shower.

Pulse 2.0 Score

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has received a Pulse 2.0 score of 4.5 out of 5. The score would have been higher if the chipset was better and there was some form of water resistance.
