Yahoo! announced today that it would beef up its search for mobile services. The name of the service is called Yahoo! Go 2.0 and users can download the services from over 70 types of mobile devices. Yahoo! announced the changes at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

Partnerships were expanded with Motorola Inc., Nokia, and Samsung to include the services in their upcoming mobile phone releases as well. By partnering with high-end mobile phone developers, Yahoo! is gearing up towards competing intensely against Google and Microsoft’s mobile phone offerings.

Samsung agreed that in the first half of 2007, Samsung mobile phones would preload Yahoo! e-mail, IM, and search services. The new Yahoo! mobile search contains a feature called oneSearch. OneSearch would make searching easier from cellphones and has built-in enhanced directories for local businesses and maps. There is also a system that makes photo-sharing easy too by utilizing Flickr technology.
