Rediff Launches Indian Version of Yahoo Answers

Rediff unveiled Rediff Q&A a few days ago. Q&A is like Yahoo Answers where users post questions and answers to questions. All users have a profile page which lists their asked questions as well as their answered questions. Q&A also has a best answer voting mechanism like Yahoo Answers.

Q&A also integrates a point system for users. You get points for asking questions, answering questions, and even get a point for logging in. When you accumulate a certain number of points, your privilege level goes up. The privilege level chart is below.

Q&A along with Connexions, Rediff’s Indian social network, will definitely help the company gain traction in the social network space. Q&A has a chance at succeeding because it focuses specifically on the fast growing Indian online community.
