FriendX.com, Malaysia’s leading social network now boasts over 150,000 registered members. Users can access their account on the Internet and on cell phones. The social network launched in 2004 and has grown over 120% in the last two years. FriendX has been profitable since April 2005 and Jupiter Media Metrix has estimated that FriendX’s revenue will grow to $5.8 million by the end of 2007 from $1.4 million.

“Reaching 150,000 members is a significant milestone for FriendX – it positions the company as one of the Internet’s largest communities while demonstrating the viability of our business model,” stated PY Tey, President and CEO of FriendX. “With the support of our members, we’ve built a community that fosters relationships across space and time. This milestone emphasizes the importance of customer satisfaction and is evidence of our ability to consistently meet member needs.”

On FriendX, you can make friends, add photos, write blogs, join clubs, view the hottest males and females as well as view who logged on last, vote for your friends as a top member of FriendX, and also SMS other members through the social network. I’m assuming that FriendX is making millions in revenue through advertisements without the use of Google Ads. The Alexa rank is pretty weak, but then again the demographic of Alexa toolbar users obviously is not a social network in Malaysia.
