Microsoft 24/7 Real MediaThere are some speculations today regarding the possibility of Microsoft acquiring 24/7 Real Media for up to $1 billion.  Both companies were not available for comment.  24/7 Real Media has market capital of roughly $611.5 million and is known as a digital marketing company.

The speculation of this deal symbolizes Microsoft’s interest in seizing an asset that aligns itself in a competitively against Google’s DoubleClick and Yahoo!’s Right Media.

It is also rumored that Microsoft is not the only company wanting to chase after a 24/7 acquisition.  WPP, a London, England-based company also wants in.  However, given Microsoft’s buying power and business model, the company has a higher chance.
