Armani Releases Luxury Items For Second Life Avatars

I refuse to ever sign up for a Second Life account because I think the whole idea of building relationships with other people on the Internet in the form of avatars is weird. Buying stuff with actual money for your avatar also seems to strange, but I could see how there is a market for that sort of thing.

Now Armani is giving offering Second Life users an option to buy “luxury clothing” for your avatar. “Now avatars can get decked out in Armani duds — horridly pixelated Second Life versions of them, anyway — and if they so desire, connect directly with the online store to spend money on actual goods,” wrote Valleywag writer Mary Jane Irwin.
