Jake Davis (LulzSec) Released Until August 30th With Electronic Tag and No Internet

Eighteen year old Jake Davis of the Shetland Islands is facing five charges that include conspiracy to mount a cyber attack against the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) website. The SOCA website was forced offline on June 20th after a DDoS attack.

Hacker Group Anonymous Attacks Spanish Police Website
The hacker group Anonymous has attacked the website of the police force in Spain. The hack attack took place out of retaliation to the police arresting three Spanish individuals believed to be “core” members of the hacker group.

Hackers Planning To Hit Sony Again This Weekend
An observer in an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel has reported to CNET that a group of hackers are planning to hit Sony once again. Sony is still recovering from an attack that was made on the PlayStation Network. The hackers involved in the case are interested in selling off some of the credit card data they stole from the PlayStation Network. The hackers plan on publicizing some or all of the information that they stole from Sony’s servers. This includes customer names, credit card numbers, and addresses. And the hackers are also claiming that they still have access to some of Sony’s servers.

Anonymous Says That They Did Not Hack The PlayStation Network
Anonymous is a hacker group that often performs network attacks on major corporations or over political reasons. They have publicly stated today that they were not responsible for stealing credit card data from the Sony PlayStation Network.

Hacker Gets Arrested After Talking About Breaking Into French Army Network
A French hacker by the name of “Carl” was arrested after bragging about breaking into the French Army and Thales network on national TV. The hacker appeared on the French TV show Complément d’enquête (Further Investigation). On the show, he demonstrated how he broke into the government networks.
