Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) sold 51 million iPhones in the first quarter of 2014. This is the first time that Apple sold over 50 million iPhones in a single quarter. Apple sold 47.8 million iPhones in the same quarter in 2013. Apple sold 26 million iPads, which is up from 22.9 million in the same quarter of 2013.

DigiTimes is reporting that Apple will be releasing a larger iPhone and iPad in 2014. The new iPad would be either 12.9-inch or 13.3-inch that would be released in October 2014. The larger tablet will be manufactured by Quanta Computer. The larger iPhone would be released in May 2014 and would use a 20nm processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
Google Search for iOS has been updated. Version 3.1 of Google Search for iOS now has Google Now. The service offers notifications, reminders, and other personalization features.
