Opscode raises $32 million in funding, gets renamed to Chef

Opscode has raised $32 million in Series D funding and has changed their name to Chef. Chef is also the name of the company’s flagship configuration management tool product. Chef has also named Microsoft alum Curt Anderson as their new chief financial officer. Chef will be using the funding to increase their sales, marketing, and engineering team from around 100 people now to 200.

Job review website Glassdoor raises $50 million

Glassdoor is a job review website that features job listings and recruiting. The company said that 25% of their traffic comes from outside the United States. Glassdoor has raised $50 million in a round of funding led by Tiger Global Management with participation from Dragoneer Investment Group and existing investors Benchmark Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures, Battery Ventures and DAG Ventures.

Business analytics company SumAll raises $4 million in funding

SumAll has announced that they have raised $4 million in a new round of funding from existing Battery Ventures and Wellington Partners. The company also raised $1 million in debt from Silicon Valley Bank. SumAll lets customers analyze data from a variety of services like Facebook, Twitter, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Amazon Payments, PayPal, Bing Ads, and Google AdWords in one interface. One of SumAll’s agency customers uses the service to track over 120 Google Analytics pages and 50 Facebook pages. The company sees sales activity for 100,000 businesses and the total amount of data being analyzed doubles every 45 days.

Gainsight Raises $20 Million In Series B

Gainsight has raised $20 million in a Series B round of funding led by Bain Capital Ventures. Existing investor Battery Ventures and new investor Summit Partners also participated in this round. Gainsight is a customer success enterprise company that enables customer-driven companies proactively manage retention and reduce unexpected churn. The Gainsight platform uses big data analytics to evaluate sales data, usage logs, support tickets, and other customer intelligence to offer users with actionable insights and recommended best practices.  Gainsight’s software can be integrated with leading CRM systems including, Oracle Sales Cloud, Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SalesLogix, and Siebel.
