Freelancer.com has hit 1.8 million registered users and 800,000 completed projects. “Freelancer.com’s growth is attributable to fact that the site is so simple to use and cost effective. Anyone can now assemble a virtual workforce overnight on a shoestring budget,” stated Freelancer.com CEO Matt Barrie. “We also enable markets that previously didn’t exist. For example, most people would never hire a graphic designer to produce an invitation to a house party, but for only $30 on Freelancer.com you can now get an impressive invitation put together in minutes.” The average job on Freelancer.com is under $200.
