Honda has announced that the 2014 Civic will be the first vehicle to get full iOS 7 mirroring. The vehicle will get mirroring on December 4th. It will include touch-friendly integration with the 7-inch touchscreen on the center console. It will be launched with the 2014 Civic Coupe as it sells next month.
General Motors and Honda Motor Corporation is working together to develop hydrogen fuel cell technology. Both companies are already developing fuel-cell technologies. General Motors Project Driveway deployed 119 hydrogen-fueled vehicles so far and Honda brought 85 cars to customers in the Japan and U.S., according to Car and Driver.

Honda has announced that they have exported their 1 millionth vehicle from the United States. Honda has been building cars in the United States for the last 25 years. The 1 millionth vehicle was a silver 2013 Honda Accord EX-L sedan and it was shipped to South Korea from the their Marysville Auto Plant.
Since the Pulse2 founders were raised near the Motor City, we have naturally become car enthusiasts. We have tons of family and friends that work at the big auto companies and their suppliers. After the Department of Energy and the Obama administration pushed billions of dollars in the auto industry, we saw some changes in the environment around us. The optimism from Detroit companies grew since they were getting into the electric vehicle game. We have seen Henrik Fisker and Elon Musk build some great automobiles over the last few years too. Honda has delivered the first 2013 Fit EV to a customer. The Fit EV is available in a limited area (California/Oregon) as of right now. The Fit EV was given a 118 MPGe rating by the EPA. It uses 29 kWh of electricity per 100 miles driven. The Fit EV is currently one of the most efficient EVs in the country and is expected to be available in other markets later this year. Matt and Becky Walton were the first ones to receive the car in Ventura County, California. They were the first to register to lease a Fit EV at the Honda website http://FitEV.Honda.com when the registration opened last year. They plan to use the vehicle for commuting purposes. They said that one of the reasons why they bought the car is because the battery pack fully charges in under three hours. The Fit EV is currently available as a lease only at $389 per month over a 3-year term. [SlashGear]
Earlier this week, Honda held an event in Times Square in New York City using 3-D technology to promote the Honda CR-Z sports hybrid coupe. Honda held the event across five blocks and ran a 3-D CR-Z commercial on the Times Square HD Spectacolor screen (on Broadway between 46th and 47th STreet). Hip hop group N.E.R.D. also performed at the event. About 250,000 people attended the event.
This past week Tesla Motors has filed a report with the U.S. SEC that they have made $13.8 million by selling zero emission vehicle credits, which is equal to 368 cars to Honda over the past 2 years. Honda is also contracted for an additional 287 credits.

Fiat plans to invest $550 million in a Chrysler plant outside of Mexico City to assemble Fiat 500 vehicles. The $550 million investment will be financed mostly by loans from Mexican development plants. [Edmunds]
Nissan Going To Have A Booth At Chicago Auto Show
Even though Nissan skipped having a booth at the Detroit Auto Show, they will be attending the auto show in Chicago. Nissan will have about 1,000 on-site at the Chicago Auto Show which is about 300 more than what they showcased in Detroit. [EGMCarTech]
Navigon iPhone App Going Social
Navigon has announced that they will be updating their iPhone GPS application to support social features. There will be in-app connections to Twitter and Facebook. There will also be Panorama View 3D views that is being powered by NASA data. [CNET]
Street View Snowmobile
Google Street View is now being used on the snowy hills of Vancouver. Google was able to take pictures using a Google Street View snowmobile vehicle. Unfortunately, they captured a picture of someone sticking up their middle finger. The photo was taken at Whistler to prepare for the Winter Olympics. [Jalopnik]
BMW Sales Up 16.6%
BMW has announced that they have seen a 16.6% increase in sales for the month of January. They sold about 82,120 vehicles across their BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce brand of cars. [BMWBlog]
Honda Recalls 378K Cars Over Airbags
Honda is recalling 378,000 additional vehicles because of air bag issues. The force in which the air bag deploys might be too forceful and affects certain Honda cars. Last year Honda had to recall 440,000 vehicles for the same reason. Cars affected include 2001-2002 Accords, Civics, Odysseys and CR-Vs. And 2002 Acura TLs may also be affected. [NYT]
