  • Scopely — a rapidly growing mobile game publisher — recently announced a few milestones including $1 billion in lifetime revenue and Star Trek Fleet Command hitting $100 million in revenue

Mobile game publisher Scopely recently announced a few milestones. The company announced it surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenues and the company is opening a massive 60,000 square foot headquarters located in Los Angeles next year.

Scopely also revealed the acquisition of Dublin-based DIGIT Game Studios. And the company’s Star Trek Fleet Command game alone attracted over $100 million in lifetime revenue in under eight months.

Star Trek Fleet Command launched on iOS and Android in November 2018. And that game has a highly engaged user base around the world with 85% of them playing 5 out of 7 days every week thus hitting over 4.7 million days played in the game. And over 100 million battles were played in just the first 10 days last year. Now there have been over 1.5 billion lifetime battles deployed.

Star Trek Fleet Command is Scopely’s fastest game to hit a $100 million in lifetime revenue. And it has one of the highest average revenue per install out of all the mobile games available on the market.

“Our goal with Star Trek Fleet Command is to provide a game experience that players love, stay true to the Star Trek franchise, and offer the most aesthetically, narratively and mechanically immersive experience possible,” said Scopely VP of Product and GM in a statement. “With over 195 million missions completed, 115 million hours played, and 1.2 billion alliance helps given, we are thrilled by the response the game has received around the world.”

Scopely had acquired DIGIT Game Studios in May 2019. DIGIT Game Studios had worked with Scopely on the Star Trek game since they started working on it in 2015. In the past few months, Star Trek Fleet Command added new officers and ships including Carol Marcus (played by Alice Eve) and Officer D’Jaoki (played by DJ Steve Aoki).

“Our team spends years building our games, so it’s hugely rewarding to have one of our products achieve the $100 million revenue milestone so quickly after launch. We take pride in seeing players consistently and passionately engage with our entire portfolio of games. At Scopely, we are dedicated to delivering highly-personalized experiences people can enjoy today and for years to come,” added Scopely co-CEO Javier Ferreira.

Some of Scopely’s other popular games include WWE Champions 2019, The Walking Dead: Road To Survival, YAHTZEE With Buddies, and Wheel of Fortune: Free Play.
